What We Collect
We use PostHog for analytics to understand how people use this site. PostHog collects:
- Page views and page navigation
- Device and browser information
- A cookie to distinguish returning visitors
Analytics run by default. If you click "Decline" on the cookie consent banner, all analytics collection stops immediately and no further data is sent.
What Stays on Your Device
Your learning progress is stored in your browser's local storage and is never sent to any server. This includes:
- Quiz progress and scores
- Spaced repetition (SRS) card data
- Daily practice streaks
- Favorite topics
- Theme preference (light/dark)
- Analysis history
- Your analytics consent preference
You can clear all local data at any time through your browser settings.
Accounts & Server-Stored Data
Creating an account is optional. When you sign up, we store your name, email, and hashed password in our database. Authenticated users also have their learning progress, SRS review history, quiz scores, vocabulary cards, and favorites synced to the server so they persist across devices.
You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings page at any time. This deletion is permanent and irreversible.
Third-Party Services

- Resend — email delivery for password resets. Your email address is shared with Resend when you request a password reset. Resend Privacy Policy
Contact Form & Waitlist
When you submit the contact form, your name, email, subject, and message are stored in our database to process your inquiry. If you join the waitlist via the diagnostic quiz, your email address is stored. Contact messages and waitlist entries are retained indefinitely unless you request deletion.

You can change your analytics consent preference at any time. This controls whether PostHog analytics runs when you visit this site.

- Clear local data: Use your browser settings to clear localStorage for this site at any time.
- Block analytics: Decline cookies via the consent banner, or use a browser ad-blocker.
- Change consent: Use the buttons above to update your analytics preference.
- Delete your account: Visit Settings to permanently delete your account and all server-stored data.
